Hello all. I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking for a few weeks and took delivery of an 07' SM last week. I figured it was time to say hello. A good friend of mine introduced me to this site and to the BA/SM. I'm glad he did! This is one of the best bikes that I've ridden and I'm excited as ****** to own a triumph. I've loved them since I was a kid (only 35 yo).

So there it is-it's a pleasure to among you guys and I'm sure I'll be an annoying new guy for a bit as I get used to the site and the new bike.

Welcome, we have quite a few riders in the area, always good to see more.
I'm guessing your dealer is Riverside in Somerville?

thanks for the welcome.

My dealer USED to be riverside. LOL

I'm not too comfortable with their pricing "games" they play and they don't seem to have thier zhit together in the parts dept.....they have a good selection for helmets and jackets though. AND they gave me a decent deal on the bike.

Ive been to performance cycles already and they seem cool and I'm on my way "up" to Great Bay on saturday. I need to pick up a touring seat and I want to look at the paint set they have listed on ebay.

If you want them dicker hard those have been sitting on their special sale self for the better part of a year and a half. Which is pretty much when I stopped going there.

Thank you for the warning with great bay....unfortunately, they are the only ones that have that seat in stock so I'm gonna get it there this saturday.

HMMMMMM, they've been sitting there that long? maybe I'll see if they'll take 400 for the black set....not likely.

so, what's go'n on in CT? that thread is 15 pages long!!! LOL

oh yea-----The air injection system IS on the bike still....it's only been a week and I have to do the first oil change soon (550 miles) so I'll see if my friend from here will give me a hand with it. But I know that it has to go as soon as possible.

I'm curious about the negative post on Great Bay in Hampton. Sales? Service? Overall? I only ask because they're the closest to me, and they claim the best of everything...

Thanks,
JZ (future TBA owner)

I think anyone who claims to be the best at everything is suspect

I've heard they charge a ton basically... I think I remember other stuff, but not specific. I have gotten some stuff from them when I lived in MA, but I didn't have much to compare to then either.

Me too! I even do my legal stuff through Winer, Diner, Dicker, and Dunker. Great legal team, and many are Kennedys

Oh, no doubt! Just want to hear/read as much as possible about this particular dealer since it's where I'll most likely purchase and service my future TBA, and especially to feel safe about their service competence.

I bought my speedy there, and was happy with the price, at this time it was them or Naults, who was shut down by Triumph. However I get the feeling that we as triumph and more so as cruiser type riders are not what they are interested in. I have had no service done by them. But had a real issue trying to get TBS needles ordered. Evidently carbs are "too complicated" for me to do myself. That turned me right off. Second Wind BMW has a triumph franchise and has been very good to me and a couple other members on service and parts.
They are interested in all aspects of the Triumph marque not just sport bikes.

Tony,

I picked up my America at Armand's in Halifax. I know they're a bit of a ride for your North Shore self, but they've been great to deal with from the moment I walked in to demo ride last August. Check them out. (Also, Rte 106 leads to 58, a pretty backroad down towards the Cape. Farms and cranberry bogs.... )
