I periodically add Amsoil Performance Improver gasoline additive to the gas. A 16oz bottle will run you about $8.00. One bottle of the P.I gas additive is designed to treat 160 gallons of gas. So one bottle is good for more than 32 fillups, which comes out to about $0.25 per fillup.

I haven't had any problems with the bike, but then again I have been using the gas additive since the day I got it. Also, I don't use it everytime I fillup. Maybe every 2nd or 3rd fillup, and everytime I leave the bike idol for any extended period of time (I travel for work a lot).
