After a very slow winter, I am finally approaching 50,000 miles (i lack about 300 miles). I am amazed at how well this machine is still running. The only problems I've had are the ones I caused. Minor stuff. My valve train does seem to be a bit louder, but Loud Valves Save Lives. Who else is here? How many miles? Any problems?
Ride Safe,
Dennis

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

I'll make the second 50 only 20,000 more miles. just a tad over 80,000 and running better than ever. although it does seem to be very weak and slow since i started riding the Sprint ST. had it almost 3 months and 7500 on it already.

I'd willingly sacrifice 10 miles each day of riding if it meant NOT going on I-84. The rest of the roads and riding up here are pretty sweet (with exception of some sections of road in desperate need of repaving!) For some reason, I haven't been able to put near the amount of time in the saddle as I did back in South Carolina! I just don't understand it...

One year 12,000 miles, rode Torrington, CT to Canada over Memorial Day weekend. 635 miles in two days. It was very hard on my 50-year-old body. But recuperation time only two days. Now in TBA withdrawal TBA in for 12,000 service and new Metzeler tires. Dealer said some people put Metzeler tire on front until the rear Bridgestone wears out. Don't think that is a good idea. Get TBA back tomorrow, ready for 15,000 miles this year. Although I have major home project put new roof on back deck. Is’t fall a good time to replace a deck roof. Oh yea fall riding is the best. Ride Safe.

Give your friend a message from me. "Go on and ride brother, forget about those of us who sit and type about our riding. It's all about the ride, not about the cyber poser world". I've piled up 50,000 miles and way too many posts.
Ride Safe,
Dennis

I have approximately 31,500 miles to go. Of course, it doesn't help that I have 3 bikes to ride. Let's see 100,000/(18,500/5) = 27 years to 100,000 (i.e 22 more years for the Beast). I'll be 70 years young by then. That works for me.
