Is there a fuel gauge gas cap out there available for my 04 speedy?

That is the last Holy Grail on these bikes. I don't recall seeing anyone pull that off. Of course, and I'm thinking about that custom from Finland where they adapted a stretched aftermarket gas tank, there's no reason why you couldn't install a bung for a sending unit off another bike. Then just wire it up to an aftermarket gas gauge mounting on the handlebars.

At the bike show sunday, one chopper had a 90 deg fitting tapped into the top of the tank, and one down low by the petcock with clear tubing in between. The fuel level in the tube is the same as in the tank. now THAT is a fuel gauge!!

They have one on a Rocket III.....
And my cheap Korean rip off 125 Criuser has one too. It can't be THAT hard.
But it would be nice....

The Veypor http://www.newspeedmaster.com/html/veypor.html has a built in fuel gauge. But I haven't been able to find anyone that has actually installed or used one on our bikes. Later Joe

I assume that the Veypor is estimating your remaining fuel rather than measuring it. That's quite a hot item though - speedo, tacho, fuel gauge, gear indicator, HP gauge - cool!

Trip meter, I get to 180 Km and start thinking about fuel.
