just curious if anyone knows where to get.. not sure what there called. they go on windshields to get rid of wond buffeting. dont know exactly what there called tho or where to get them

yes, or you might just want the lowers. is the problem at the top or bottom of your head and what kind of screen do you have?

Geesh - 85 degrees and the air is as thick as road tar - I'll take all the buffeting I can get!

It's funny you should bring this up. I just received a new windscreen 2 days ago after reading a post by jj. Heres a link to the threads that got me interested. link I bought the Givi A601 like jj had and despite it being only about 1/3 the size of the Triumph Roadster screen I had on before, found that it eliminated head buffeting. It can be adjusted 3 different directions to suit your riding position and is well made. I paid less than $100 with shipping from twisted throttle web page I only wish I would have found out about it a year ago before dumping $300 on the Triumph screen!

i have the triumph summer screen (the tall one) i think i might try lowers out i have no idea where the wind is comeing form. i think from everywhere lol

I've held my feet in front of me along the outsides of the forks and found that to be the major source of buffeting with the roadster screen. I would bet the summer screen is the same. I tried lowers with the roadster screen myself but still didn't eliminate the buffeting like the Givi screen does. They lessened it to a good extent, but it was still there. I'm sure this is due to the lack of adjustment angles you have available with the Triumph screen.

the givi has some of the look of the slipstreamer viper (size, mounting etc.) I'm glad it's working for you. I'm pretty pleased with my memphis fats+lowers.

I tried to muscle around the triumph summer screen to no avail. Snapping on a shield to my helmut eliminated almost all buffeting so I figure maybe it's a message from above.

Nwe here. I am trying out the summer screen on my TBA, fine up to 100+kmh, then buffeting gets quite bad, as seems to be well known here. I read someplace about adding a lid to the headlight reduces buffeting signif, anyone with experience with that??

Welcome aboard Don. I have a lightbar and the visors on all three lights. Before I had them, I got quite a bit of wind buffeting. The visors helps a lot. The headlight one I got from Ma's Cycles and is the 7" one (it's been awhile, so if anyone knows I am wrong here, chime in!!). Here's the link to the visors:

OK, I think i'll try rigging up a pseudo visor for my headlight (plastic) and see what effect it has. Approx how far does your headlight visor stick out from the front of the headlight?
I am not expecting total elim of buffeting, as that is prob not realistic, but if I can reduce the severity of it (hammering!) over 100kmh (60 mph), I'd be happy. I understand from this forum that lowers might help (alot), but would rather not if poss.
I really like the look and performance of the summer sheild (below 100kmh!!). Does an excellent job of keeping windblast off chest, can relax now, and nice breeze from top of shoulders and up.

Geuss-timating, I believe it's about 2-2.5" at the center and tapers down to nothing at almost the mid-line of the light...

It breaks up just enough wind to decrease the buffeting. Don't forget, I have three of them and they are pretty much in a line so I have more surface area to work with.

yes i see that, however you don't appear to have a windscreen, which is the cause of the sharp buffeting I am speaking of.
The buffeting w/o a screen is much more tolerable, your visors obv make it even better.
I'll try the visor idea tonite, report back. Fingers crossed. Another suggestion was short pce of fuel hose split and pressed onto top edge of screen (also to upset airflow). I'll try to do both, separalty, and together.

Well, tried both the visor (makeshift thick plastic) and the hose along the top of the sheild, no real improvement in the severity of the buffeting. Best result came with slowing down...lol. Guess I am too tall for this one (6'4").
So, that is that. Darn it. back it goes.

Not to change the subject but what stiching pattern is that on your Corbin seats? (I'm ordering one and am considering several.)
