I love Top Gear and Clarkson's over-the-top delivery, but these aren't the matchups that any real american gearhead would make. For a second, towards the end, I thought they were going to put that 40-YO superbird up against the Ferrari in an actual race. That would've definitely pushed the absurdity level beyond the bounds of humor.
(Disclosure: My main cage is a VW Golf and I have 2 Porsche 914s so I'm not some blind American automotive jingoist - I luvs me some German engineering and build quality - but it's my '65 Mustang that gets the precious space in my garage next to my TBA.)
