I really love this so-called glove bag by TBags. I have carried my tools and a gallon of kerosene, and still had room for other stuff. With the capacity, it doesn't overwhelm the bike, and I don't have to struggle cleaning my rear wheel and accessing my chain as often is the case with bags hanging down.
