Congrats...I got a new 2006 SM and was specific with the dealer. Told them I wanted the AI removed, replace stock air filter with a K&N, and install long TORs. Then, do a rejet considering the difference in the dealers sea level elevation, and mine home elevation of 1652 feet ASL. Also, since most of my riding is in the city, I had them replace the 18 Tooth counter sprocket with a OEM 17 Tooth. Prior to shipping, I asked them to really check everything over for me. The bike arrive two days after it left the dealership, and it really flys. My dealership did such an awesome prep and rejet...I have no need to remove snorkle, or do any other performance mods, and the 17 tooth sprocket allows for quicker take-offs, and it runs just fine on the highway. I'm up to 70 mph in 3rd gear, and the bike only has 350 miles on it. Runs like a top. You're gonna have a ball with your bike. Just be careful of slow speed maneouvering...DON'T USE YOUR FRONT BRAKE WITH HANDLEBARS TURNED...I almost dumped mine on second day.
