Going with a smaller front'll help between lights but it'll make things worse on the long stretches. If you're willing to spend some real dollars dump the tor's, get yourself (in spending order) a freak, some decent pipes, some new thunderbike cams, a big bore kit, and some aftermarket carbs... or a rocket 3.
