Kisan Tail Light Modulator

Kisan Plug-In and Play Head and Tail Light Modulators.
Has anyone had any experience with these? I know they are a bit pricey but there is no wiring at all to fool around with.
Just wondering if the micro-processors in their bulb bases work ok and if they last very long? The bulbs of course can be changed when they go out.

Thanks for the URL Bob, I couldn't remember what these things are called. I used to run them both on my Honda VTX. I'm also waiting for feedback from the gang. Apparently our bikes take the P115W-S & 10W-D.

I have them in the tailights in each of our Americas. They came with an extra bulb so no worries there. They work great! They seem to work wonders too. I have noticed that people dont get as close and I have even seen some people behind me take notice! Especially if I let off the brake for a sec and hit it again.
I was thinking about the headlight mod but I dont know how I feel about the headlight flashing. I get it cause I ride but if I didnt ride it might just ****** me off that the jerk behind me is flashing his lights at me for some reason.

I guess then there is no issue with the fact that our tail light bulb sits vertical. I have a flashing LED bulb I used to use on another motorcycle that had a horizontal bulb, and it worked great, but the LEDs don't show well mounted vertically. Of course, I guess this is a bit different, and I guess the position of the bulb should not affect it.

As far as people not liking the flashing light, tough $hit - I think they really make people notice you instead of look (and run) through you!

I have had the tail light bulb in my bike for about a year now. It works great! When I bought it, it came with a replacement bulb.

I finaly ordered and received the Kisan Headlight Modulator.


It took only a few minites to install it. It works greaat! It modulates in the daytime only and turns on by switching the bright switch "on". I can turn it off anytime by just swithching back to the low beam. I sometimes shut it off when I am sitting right in back of someone at a traffic light or just when I don't want to use it. It helps me be seen a lot more I do know that.

I won one on eBay a few days a go, and the seller is yet to answer a question I have about payment. I have emailed him through the listing, and through his company, but no reply. Sometimes saving money is a pain in the butt.

Yes that's the one I got. Actualy I ended up ordering it directly from Kisan Technologies . I think I paid about $109.00 for it.

I was really amazed at how soon I recieved it. About 4 days from the day I ordered.

Thanks Bob. I love those things, and I really think they greater enhance your safety on the bike. I hope my guy responds soon - I'm anxious to get one on the bike. Especially here in the St. Petersburg, FL area.

I forgot that you could turn off the flashing with the high/low switch.

I installed one of these on my Speedy. It's plug-n-play, but I added a couple of white LEDs to illuminate the license plate.

It's been working well for over a year now.

That looks like a great unit Brad.

I try not to ride in the rain...saying that, the mounting posts under the brake light lens could be ground down a tad for a tighter, water-proof seal.


Maybe not the cheapest solution, but it works great and gives the LED look without any problems.

Just a question guys. Can you confirm how these modulator operate cos I'm confused how the high beam is effected and whether it (the high beam) operates as normal.

It has a separate small guage insulated wire that you plug into the modulator unit 'inside' the headlight bucket. That wire has a waterproof photo-cell sensor on the end of it in a brass ring. You just run that wire through the back of the headlight housing gromet and attach it (with a provided wire wrap loop) to something around or near the top of the headlight housing like a brake cable etc. It just needs to be where it faces upwards and unobstucted so sunlight can get to it. When it is 'daylight' the light sensor lets your modulator work when you switch your lights to high beam. If you switch to low beam the modulator goes off.

Of course when it is dark enough outside the photo-sensor 'disables' the modulator and your bright beams work as normal. In the USA the DOT doesn't allow modulators to be used at night.

ps- The photo-cell can be mounted flush in the top of your headlight housing but you would need to drill it.
