OK I'll break the ice with the first story. Loco and I meet at the destination of Schriber which I selected because it was exactly half way from Duluth, MN (where Loco and I began) and Sault Ste Marie (where Mert, Wojo and Airguy) started on Monday)

We arrived just shy of 30 minutes apart from one another not bad for a 300 mile trip to connect.

After getting a room and dinner we wandered over to the bar (go figure!) The boys order up some fine Canadian ale or beer of some significance and I order a small glass wine. Not that I am uppity by any means, but because of my past I have strict rules about imbibing, what I can have and how much and I adhere pretty strictly to it.

We are all getting along fine and I drink about 1/4 of a 4-6 oz. glass and I start feeling it. I think wow, this stuff is pretty potent, my eyes even feel funny!

We're all yucking it up and my eye is bothering more and more, watering and just doesn't feel right. After a significant amount of time I figure I better go see what's going on and look at it in a mirror in the bathroom. Man, maybe I got pink eye from the ride today.

Head to the Bathroom (I would say John, but don't want to offend Wojo) I look in the mirror and WOW, my eye is but a little slit of an opening and it looks like I got hit with a baseball bat!

I come out to the table and say hey! My eyes all swollen, didn't you all notice it? Well seems everyone was a bit taken back by my eye, Keith really got creeped out and could not look at it, but they thought it was just normal for me and were afraid to say anything (didn't want to hurt my feelings) Waitress came up and called me Squint Eastwood and we had a great deal of fun with it. I would stare at Keith every opportunity I had just to creep him out. Yep, I like these guys! My kind of people!

For me this was the best trip with the best bunch of people that I have ever been on. A real treat. Only bummer to the end of my day with them was I got home and they ordered me into work because my replacement got sick. I was not happy and well...I got paid to sleep that night...so it was not a bad thing. I was just dog tired from too much fun.
