This has been talked about, so I thought I'd host the event,
if there is interest. I bounced the idea off my Mom today,
and she was all for it. Her house has a 2-car garage, and a
large driveway. I've got lots of tools(hand, power, and air),
a compressor, a Harbour Freight lift table, and a Sears jack.

There is a bunch of things I want to do to my bike that I
could use a hand with. I figure if a bunch of us get together,
we could help each other out, and get alot done quick.

I'll put out a nice lunch spread, then a 1&1/2 to 2 hr ride.

The location is: 175 Ponus Av. Norwalk, CT 06850. Three blocks
from exit 38 of the Merritt Parkway(RT15). Also close to 95.

If you're interested in making this a gala event, please post
here, or pm me so we can work out a date for the most attendees.

Let's have a mini-rally every weekend!
Homesick for the mountains, and Triumph folks,
Uncle Charlie

Sweet! That could be a day ride for me easy. As for a date, not entirely sure, but I know the weekend of June 9th I'll be in Vermont. So not then.

Charlie,

Sounds great, just bought a set of floor boards and I'm think of relacing the fork springs with those progressive springs pete was telling me about at the rally.

The floorboard swap is easy. I've got 2 sets of progressives
1 for me, 1 for Martin. They were only $60 a pair, cheap.

Let's make this happen,
Uncle Charlie

This is what I ordered based on info from this site.

Item name: prog fork springs pair mfg #111145
Item number: 07039 $49.99/pair + shipping. Cheap!

I can't wait to try these, as the fork dive is the one thing
that really bothers me about my bike.
Uncle Charlie

Oh yeah, the rear shocks bug me too! 440's in the near future.

I have a brake bleeder-a piece of hose and a plastic container. I did my brakes like Pat and it worked great. You just have to lean over a bit to do the rears! I would also like to do the progressives up front.

OK, here's the plan:

CT Tech Day
Saturday 6/2/2007, Spillover/Raindate 6/3
Location: Mom's Place
175 Ponus Ave., Norwalk, CT 06850
2-car garage, Sears jack, lift table, and tools supplied.
Lunch will be provided, give me ideas please.
Also I'll try to have on hand any supplies needed.
Again, let me know what you'll need.

Arrival time: 8am on
Lunch: 1-2pm
Ride: 3-4pm for a couple of hours
Man, I'm not as good at this as Chy!

Back to Mom's for goodbye's.

Or, if anyone wants to have a Sat evening bbq, I can
arrange this as well. There is plenty of room for camping,
and I can probably put up a few in the house.

Come experience some "Northern Hospitality"

Charlie,

The 2nd. will work for me.

Fork oil

Brake Fluid I have a couple of pints of DOT 4

Budwiser

I will, bring my carb balance, gear scocket, RTV gasket red, blue, black, maker and tread sealer.

I will have my 155 jets and TBS needles, progressive fork springs and floor boards.

For lunch we could do burgers, dogs, brats p\salada and chips.

We also will need some good southern rock played at extreme levels.

If I remember, it's 3/8 drive Husky Click-type that reads
metric and fractional. I also have a deflection type.
Can't recall the ranges, I'll check tomorrow when I'm at Mom's.

I won't be able to stay a super long time (****** kids)...but it gives me an excuse to get some diapers...in Norwalk.
