For where you live I would go with the 20W-50 syn motorcycle oil. The Amsoil filter for our bikes is the EaOM103 (Black) or EaOM103C (Chrome). The chrome filter will cost a little more. When I change the oil (I always change the filter) I add 4 quarts.
Note about oil filter: It is best to install filter when bike is at room temperature. Or recheck to make sure filter is tight when bike is at room temperature. Lube filter gasket with new oil or grease. Hand tighten only, but as tight as you can.
