Being a proud father of a talented son, the lead singer of "Ruh", I just had to share the release of his band's first record (album released this week). If you click this link and then "Media" you can listen to a few of their songs. Enjoy!

I'll check it out later (can't get there at work), but what does "Ruh" mean or stand for?

Well, yes, about a dozen instruments. Not as often as back in the day though.
Friar, Ruh is German (!) for Roo as in Kanga and Roo. Don't ask why they picked that name...

You do right to be proud Bengt. Have had a listen and am very impressed. Sounds well produced recordings even on PC speakers. Reminds me very much of Radiohead and possibly a bit of XTC in there also Your son has great talent and wish him all the best with the band.

He's the singer. Another extremely cool thing is that the band probably will warm up the audience before the Who (remember them?) enters the stage at Stockholm Globe Arena next wednesday... Have to get tickets...

Bengt,
Opening the show for THE WHO, they must be very much ... "on their way" UP. Cool song and nice voice. Bravo!
P.S. Am I right in thinking you mentioned that they may be at the Euromeet in Bankeryd?

Wow Bengt! Sounds like things are really taking off for your lad and Ruh. Blimey, supporting The Who! That's got to look pretty good on a band's CV!!! Enjoyed the video. Wondering how they are they doing for publicity? Are they getting interviews/ airtime on local radio? Could be a major career jump for them after this gig...Wishing them all the best!

Thanks! Yes, they're hoping for pretty much now. They went on a radio interview tour a couple of weeks ago and are played on at least a couple of radio stations. Another big support job they're doing this fall is on the "Off the wall"-tour ( Link ) with this British group doing Pink Floyd. Other than that there are quite a few gigs this summer. I myself am going down to Gothenburg tomorrow to hear them and two more bands playing Sunday evening. Oh, yes. Almost forgot. Yesterday was a crazy day for the band. At 7 PM they played in Borås, a town in the south part of Sweden. Took a taxi to the airport and flew to Stockholm to play at a club there at 11. Just like the big guys, right? You could say they're shaking their heads and wondering what's happening. I know I am...
