I have a 2004 BA and I was considering having the sprocket cover chromed. I took it off and noticed the metal on the edge is quite nice. Is it possible to polish the part and make it look good, sort of like the vintage aluminum finishes on earlier Bonnies.

Being aluminum you can finish it any way you like, chrome, powdercoat, polish, mill finish, brushed, sanded, bead blasted, anodized, and/or painted to list a few possibilities.

Hmmm I could have sandblasted my spricket cover and peg hangers! But alas, different job now, no access to the shop... All the good ideas happen that way!
