HJC makes a really good helmet. If you spend more money, you are buying comfort. In 40 years of riding, I've found that the more expensive helmets provide comfort and "coolness" in the hot weather. Now, as far as the novelty helmets go, if you've got a $6 head, get a $6 helmet. You've gotta wear them anyway, go ahead and get a decent one. I used to see a lot of dead people who would be alive if they'd just had a $30 helmet. I've heard all the arguments and I seldom wear leather, but riding without a helmet screams out, "I AM SO VERY STUPID!!!". Helmets look cool, and smart.
