In Italy we call it "petrolio bianco lampante" = white petrol for lamps. Or white kerosene.

I think it's common in small can of few oz into every home depot shop. Or it's often near all the paint diluent and chemicals in every tools and hardware shop.
Used to clean and lubricate mechanicals. The use for petrol lamps is uncommon now.
It has a bad smell, but it's good to clean chain without hurt the o-rings.
