Last night I was behind a middle-aged guy in the supermarket that had a denim jacket with his HOG and Harley patches, and a HOG cap. It's one thing to dress like that when you're on the bike, but around town is silly.
That being said, I try not to judge people too harshly. Especially other riders.
Most of these guys are really OK, and when they see you're riding a Triumph cruiser they're usually interested in talking to you about Triumph.
