Yeah... I know it's taken a while but after 9 days of rallying and then getting back to work to find out my partner is going to be out for a few weeks... my recoup time is taking longer than usual. Let me first say thank you to all the folks who took time from their lives to come join us this year. It was a great to meet some new folks and always good to see old friends again. Hey! ya'll keep coming back so we must be doing something right. It could be this beautiful place we're fortunate enough to live in but for now we'll take the credit. Special thanks to Di for allowing the home invasion of home invasions every year and all the time and efforts put into this thing before, during and after the rally. To everyone who generously volunteered their time to help in the preparations and execution of the master plan... from the bottom of my heart.. seriously. The Wojo/ Glazer bench building team and the Matt/ Mark horseshoe pit makers, Phil and Janet, Newt and Sue, all the road guards, sweepers and ride leaders who made my life so much easier. Shari, Moe, Wojo, Gordon, Ryan, Mike, Glazer, Charlie, Matt (who bravely put himself in harms way to stop an 18 wheeler), Mark, Keith, Tom, Rob and all the rest who helped get everyone to where they needed to be and keep us all together... thank you friends.. things went smoothly because you were there. Thanks to the Shepard family, Larry, Kathy, Jimmy and Rhonda for the great food provided ( I still didn't get any of the cakes though). Thanks also to the folks at Machines in Motion for going above and beyond.. Good people.. good friends. It was a great time.. great people, great bikes and as always, it ended far too soon. Till next year...

Chy,
It was a great time with a lot of great people. I have been to your part of GA several times, but only in passing as I was heading for Beech Mountain or Bryson city, NC. Hopefully next year I'll get even more time to explore the area further, assuming work doesn't get in the way.

Chy, What am I .....chopped liver???? Who do you think was making sure Glazer didn't blow a tire or Wojo didn't run outta gas???? That's right it was me...the invisible third sweeper.... who do you think showed Moe how to fall down in the gravel for no apparent reason...going no miles an hour and then wondering what the front brake was for ...oh well, I will just return to the obscurity of my " that guy with the wet stain pants" and wonder if I will ever recover...ride safe...Gordon

as usuall i havnt ridden much since getting home and am dealing with massive case of depression. its something i seem to have gone thru this time of yr for the last 4 yrs. i find myself with a bad case of the "Georgia on mind" syndrome. the people, the food...THE FOOD!!!! thanks again Larryshep, the people, the bikes, the roads, the music, the town and, did i mention the food and how outstanding it was again this yr. I am sad that some of the people i had hoped to see again this yr. wernt there but was happy to see all the new faces!! Even the h.d. guy (Terry the cable guy) had me in stiches a few times anyway i hope to do it all again in a yr. untill then it will just be a place in my daydreams. maybe i will put a few hundred mi. of straight line rideing in next wknd.??? Florida....11 turns in 318mi
ENJOY!!!!! NEWT!!!!!

After a number of years, it was nice to finally see what this "Newt" character was all about. Great meeting you and all the others. Straight??? I got onto a piece of road homeward bound, Hwy 287 north of Amarillo, Tx that literally didn't vary for 70+ miles, started off in Mesquite desert, phased into shortgrass prairie somewhere in Oklahoma or Colorado and literally didn't waver off the chalkline. Well it did once momentarily, but then straigtened out for another 30 miles. Polar opposite from the asphalt engineered by a can of worms roadways of north Georgia. Chopped liver?? Is that like Braunschwieger? Bought some today, kind of a periodic addiction/affliction. And I do hog/beef/lamb carcass evaluations and really ought to know better. I think it comes from the part known as "misc stuff" - pass the mayo please? Wait that was a humanismeuphamism reference wasn't it . Very nice rally Chy/Di and all the others..ride safe people. jwh

Chy, your thanks are truly appreciated but entirely uneccessary.... I wished I could have done more. You open your heart and your home and put your life on hold to make this crew feel welcome and right at home. All the planning to make sure everyone has a good time, the stress on you and your property... how can you thank somebody for all that? I'll speak for myself here, but if any part I played made any of it easier for you then I am thrilled but again, I wished I could have done more.... because it just wasn't enough.
