My Triumph BA barely has 250 miles on it and yesterday after coming back from a 1.5 hr ride noticed that the headers on both sides are blued up; right header is bluer than the left.
Did some searches on the forum to fix this issue and want to make sure I’m on the right path?
Step 1 - Air Injection needs to be removed. I went to the local dealer and he had no clue what I was talking about and didn’t have this kit.
- Can someone paste the URL of a online vendor who sells this kit?
- Will removal of the AI stop the bluing, are there any other steps needed to rectify this issue?
Step 2- Ordered Blue away to clean the headers once the AI is removed
- Will this product clean up the blued headers?
- Any precautions in the applications/use of this product?
Step 3 – I have read after AI removal the air/fuel screws on the bottom of each carb need to be reset? If not the pipes will start getting a brown tint.
- Can someone elaborate on this so I can ensure the dealer takes care of this while installing the AI elimination kit?
