Ray

I was gonna add my name to the attendee's list until I saw the "Cream of Manchester" !!

Why would you do that?? WHY WHY WHY??

That stuff is only surpassed in its awfulness by J Smiths and Tetleys!! There must be some proper beer brewed in Lancashire that you could have got??

The Mrs likes Boddingtons as it makes a good shandy, I must admit I prefer Tetelys or even Newcastle Brown Ale, but Asda don't do any offers on those kinds of brew and she was paying

How can you make shandy out of it - if you add lemonade it makes it stronger!!

Newcastle Brown Ale?? Never heard of it!!

She is obviously spending too much money keeping you in the style to which you have become accustomed!!

What's the news on the bike BTW Ray? Have they given you an answer to disc problem?...
Have fitted EBC floating disc and sintered pads today, in the hope it works better. Decided to have a go myself, what a PITA! Just about everything was seized solid, must be down to the bad weather!. Anyway after a lot of time, toil and strife got it sorted. Been out tonight for a short run to start bedding in the new disc/ pads. They reckon to take it easy for the first 200 mile, gradually using brake bit harder. Nice not to be kangarooing though! Brake feels a bit soft I found, so think will have to bleed the system unless it's to be expected in the bedding period...

They have replaced the caliper and stansion also pads and of course the front disc/rotor. took it in for MOT today 3years tomorrow I have had her. Went to the local meet with it being such a good evening and met a few lads that turned up when we went to the Bunkhouse in Yorkshire, who say they will be attending the BBQ so that is another 3 people.

Just to bump this back up a bit, and wondering when people are going up there.
I'm gonna be riding from Nottingham and thinking of leaving the olds just after lunch.

Are you both planning on fitting pontoons anytime soon? The news on this side of the pond regarding the flooding near Gina is so dreary...

I wont be up I'm afraid - its a shame because I'd love to meet you all. As it turns out, I've got to work over here which means it's impossible to get back home and back up again before about 4:00am.

Have one for me and look forward to meeting you all in the future.

Cheers,

John.

Alright so far I have the list below who may, or may not be able to make it:

Adey and Wendy (yes)
Mal (the one who disappears)(Yes)
Gina (Yes)
Echoance (Yes, I owe Neill money)
Gameboy and Steve (Yes)
TriumphuserUK (Yes)
Paul(Maybe)
Dave(Dafydd) as a possibility Saturday
Andy and Sue (Maybe, depends how they feel coming back from Seeden.)
Hedgehog (possibility, as above)

Have I forgot anybody or does anybody else want to come and join in

Looks like it will be a Friday late afternoon ride out, so will put something together, will not make it very far as some of you will be riding a distance to get here.

Put my mobile number in your phones and you could even put my home number in 07977151118 and 01253 870979.

I think everybody has got directions that asked, whether or not you understand them or can follow them is another matter

If you think you may get lost, you can always phone or ring me after you all meet up and arrange for me to meet you..

If you do not fancy camping, you can always kip in the lounge/dining room, i'm sure there will be a few of you together

alright to bump this up the page, not bothering with T-shirts, probably a lot of hassle for Adey as well.

Will probably be heading back from Glasson Dock, when you are on your way down so make sure you have noted the phone numbers.

Just got to pray for good weather guys n' girls

Hi all......I'm back (worse luck...) did I see someone in S-o-A last weekend on am America, while I was crusin' down to Tescos to buy my 1.5 litre bottles of Argentiniam white for a fiver a go? Oh for the days when liver was something you had with chips & bacon and not a source of worry & paranoia! (Yes, they all come with fat, blood clots and scar tissue, Sir.... ) How are you all.....still OK I hope? The BMW is proving to be a moot point - not sure if it's gonns last or not. BBQ sounds like fun. ATB, Jan.

Thanks for the invite but I have to take someone to Gatwick Sat'day. (Is'nt waving someone else off on holiday depressing..).
So It's unlikley I'd get there (Blackpool?). Shame, it’d be good to meet what from the posts looks like a good bunch.

Maybe next time.

Have a good session though

Graham, Steve

I'll meet you at 1.30 at the service on the A50 just south of Derby (westbound) - the ones between Shardlow and the A6 turn off. Once there we can decide which way we're gonna go.

Any problems let me know.

Any one else coming from this way (I mean the East Mids.... not Bristol) you're more then welcome to tag along...

Looking good for tomorrow nite Ray
Having to work tomorrow day unfortunately so probably won't land at yours till around 8-9 pm. I'll bring my tent and just setup wherever.
Good opportunity to test the TomTom Rider I've just bought, I have your nos. so any probs I'll ring. Shouldn't need to though, can usually sense the smell of a good barbie at 10 mile anyway!
Cheers,
Dave.
