OH, John, I did neglect to leave out one MINOR, INSIGNIFICANT detail of course. About 2 years after the bike (and a few heavy hints of course from aforementioned "lil woman"), I bought my wife a Beetle Convertible, and she has never ever griped about my wanting to go for rides since!! Oh, and I didn't tell her I was doing it either, although afterwards I did give her the choice to go back to our old Nissan Sentra... I'd say that's quid pro quo...
