Uncommon in this country since I think they only put them out for a short 2 year run. They command a good price on the used market...generally around 4-5 grand if it's anything close to fine condition. I've never ridden one, but I sure lusted after one when they first came out and I saw one in a motorcycle mag. But then I'm always into that retro look. If you're seriously considering it as a bike to ride, I think you'd be better off with a Thruxton. A 500 thumper would be strictly for around town/back road duties IMO, but a Thruxton could be ridden anywhere. Thumpers do hold a special place for those who love them though.
