You probably wouldn't need much luggage space for a weekend trip but I would definitely get a rain suit. I am going to try a get an Airhawk seat pad before September. I had an airpad when I lived in CO many years ago for my old Yamaha 750 and it worked pretty well. The Airhawk is better and fits a cruiser seat better. I have looked at them but haven't been able to get one yet. Angelis took his stock seat to a custom seat place and had it bulked up for touring. Some folks here replace the seat with a Corbin or Triumph touring saddle. Unfortunately my yearly bounus comes two weeks after this rally.
