As an ignorant Brit, are you allowed to take the reflectors off? Do you get over-enthusiastic coppers pull you over? If you're allowed to take 'em off, why do they fit 'em to start with??

The dealer didnt even mount mine. When I got my bike, I got the sissy bar/ luggage rack with it and the touring seat. So when I picked up my bike they gave me a bag that has the stock seat and the reflectors in it. I never did mount them. I am not even sure what I did with those things anyway.
I am guessing it is legal to not have them on because the tail light is always on and you can see it from the sides of the bike and not just the rear (just a guess).
Anyway, cant wait to see pics of the bags!

I've been considering these for some time. Repaint them blue and silver and they'd look great. The red reflectors would have to go. In fact the guy who owns the place told me he would discount the bags (a little) if I wanted them without the extra hardware.

Lookin good! Are you using the mounts that the manufacturer makes? I really like the look of the seat on that pretty green bike too.

I've had mine on for a few months now. I love 'em and they are water tight as promised. I get lot's of positive comments from other riders about them.

You know, I've never tried. Even though they are quick release, I've never had them off. I even wash the bike with them on. The brackets, while very nicely done, are not attractive.
They are very light so you could throw one under each arm like an American football ;-)

Would Easy Brackets work with those bags?

A little WD-40 will remove the sticker residue. I yanked all my reflectors immediately, it's a personal taste thing. See this month's Cycle World "Leanings" column by Peter Egan for discussion on this topic!

Thanks, I tried WD-40, but it didn't seem to work, I'm gonna put a blow dryer to them next.

Do you have the reflectors and badges off and you just need to remove the glue, or do you still need to remove the reflectors and badges? Hair dryer/heat gun for reflectors, Goo Gone or lighter fluid on a soft cotton cloth for remaining glue. Kerosene or diesel works too.

Beautiful Bike . The BB Reproductions website shows only Harley brackets. How do you fit these to the America? I am very interested in getting these if I get a Triumph. Sorry, I'm very new to Triumph.

http://www.bbreproductions.com/kind of pricey, its $570 for the bags, $100 for the brackets, and free shipping.

He makes brackets specifically for our bikes. There just not on the website.
They are pricey but within reason when compared to other hard saddlebag options (that don't exisit for our bikes) like National Cycle and Leatherlyke
I use my bikes as my primary means of transportation and I need lockable, waterproof storage on a bike or I can't ride it.
