My TBS had the same problem, except the is no chrome dash to hide it if it gets worse- My local dealer could not/would not get it warrantied (I won't go there anymore). So I cut around the top with a razor blade and scraped off the flaking paint- Has not gotten any worse. Now my SM is staring to do it....
