Matt, probably in the neighborhood of exit 36 or 37 off 91. That's where I'm staying. Will let you know...

Matt, here's the plan a-la LJ. Quote:
How about
Dunkin Donuts 503 Windsor Ave, Windsor, CT
At 8:45, kick stands up at 9:00
We can jump on 291 to 84 from there.
He is planning on riding thru Windsor anyway, and that is one exit south of my friend's house, who is 2 blocks from the hiway. So I am gonna shoot for like 8:30 so I have time to nosh on a bagel or something. Sound doable?

I'm all set Paula N&J is 315 Main Oxford that is Rt 12.
Will call your cell if there are any delays. But should not have any trouble arriving on time.

I know I think we work that weekend but if not I'll talk her into it. I am still working on her for Mass. Doesn't look good but I'm trying. I suggested we ride up and spend a couple hrs then ride home again. She may go for that. I bought my tire machine in Mass and we drove up got it and drove home that time. So we will see.

Took a cruise out through Sutton and Oxford last night. Wasn't sure where N&J was although I've been in Oxford a number of times. After you get off the highway and get up to the lights at the center to your right across Main St.is a small plaza. N&J is in that plaza at the right end. Small place kinda hard to see. If your coming up Rte 12 as you get to the lights where you would take a right for 395 its going to be through the lights on your left. Hope to see you all there.

I know there is a convenience store. I don't think it is a Cumberland farms. I believe thats further down. You really can't get lost. Oxford is very small. It is right at the lights in the center.

Being I'm my own honey, I skipped my honey do list today and rode! I'll clean when I'm old. OK, I'm not going to panic....but now on weather.com they're showing "sprinkles" for the AM in Oxford, and showers in the afternoon for my Southeast MA ride home. I'm going to just go to bed, have my daily RDA of Peanut M&Ms, and "dream of a happy sunny day" like I've said to my daughter every nite for 14 years.... If it's looking more sure for rain tomorrow, I'm going to drive my car. OK, I'm playing the girl card, but, as I'm a girl, I can. An hour plus riding in the rain always wrecks my riding buzz.

I feel the same except I have a 4 1/2 hr ride give or take. If it's raining here I'm gonna bag it. Wendy won't ride in the rain and I don't really want to ride in it if I don't have to. If it isn't raining I'm outa here as early as I can drag my butt outa bed.

Charlie,
Great day had by all, except for the news on Oneijack. The bikes were incrediable 97% British with a few Indians and Harleys thrown in.
Lynn and I meet Paula, she is so nice and very cute she gave Lynn a Gremlin Bell and Angle pin and Brett had hugs for everyone.
Lynn won a trophy in the womens cat. for the farest crankshaft throw and Brett actual threw the da** thing further than I did.
The weather held all day and we rode in the sun most of the day.

Yes, truly bad news about Jack, but the meet was great! Met Martin and Matt at DnD, slabbed it up most of the way. Met Paula just as planned, and Brian (lizardking) and Chopperpaul (with his friend Will on an RS) showed up shortly thereafter. We headed out and found John & fam along the way. As we were putting our kickstands up, CTmike and his wife rode by! Caught up to them in the parking field. Also saw Dave (vintage...) there! Even recognized a guy from my week in Milford... Too funny. Anyway, it was a fun time, I'll definitely try for it again next year!

I just got in....It was way excellent to meet you all! Now I have good people to go with the names....Is it August yet? Lynn won a trophy in the crankshaft throw? Whoah! Go Lynn! I now have 2 new shirts to add to my blossoming Triumph shirt collection... I met up with a friend I haven't seen for probably 10 years, fun and we rode home all back roads, down into RI a bit. Just FYI....if you folks are out that way again, you've got to ride Purgatory Chasm Road (off of the Central Turnpike)....beautiful twisty country road that lead to some amazing rock formations and hiking around. Now I can say I've been to Purgatory, and it was actually very beautiful- all those unbaptized Catholic babies and people who have some kind of sin to atone for before getting the green light through the Pearly Gates have a specatacular view.

Hey good to know it worked out for you!! I forgot another story from today... Two guys were checkin out my bike REAL closely, loved the driving lights (so did a few Harley guys on the ferry...). Anyway, after some chit chat, the one guy says to the other "hey maybe he can help you with your vapor lock thing". Turns out the guy has an america with a plugged/pinched tank vent line. He says he re-ran the line, so chances are its plugged. Going in for it's breakin service next week anyway, so he's gonna have the shop look at it. Just kinda funny, almost like newbie questions on here Also, I'm glad I left when I did! Got to the ferry dock just as the boat was finishing unloading, got right on to the 3PM boad, landed at 4:30 in NY, home by 5:45.

Chopperpaul here, Had a fantastic time today at the B.I.A. show.(of course soured by the news of oneijack's accident) Glad to meet everyone and I look forward to doing it all again soon. My brother's speedmaster took home first place in the Hinkley division followed by a real cool thruxton and a sweet t-100 with clubman bars (very nice but maybe he'd have taken first with a set of apes). I'll be watching for progress reports on oneijack. My favorite ride is the next one. Chopperpaul

Good time yesterday. It was really good to meet some of the people from the site. Going to put an effort into making it in August. Such a beautiful day when I left I went and hooked up with a guy I know and did a cruise up and over Mt. Wachusette. Road to the top still not open though. After that I still couldn't put the bike away so I did another small 40 mile cruise.
My mind and body are still out of tune
I hope they run into each other real soon "

Next time you are out that way, once you get past West Boylston (WeBo), take some of the side roads, 31, 68, 56, all around there thru Princeton, etc. Some amazing, and quiet roads!!

definately a good event, i've gone to that one before. Sorry we couldn't socialize but we had a family thing to go to that afternoon so we just kind of breezed through and then hit the road again. Nice to say hi to Matt and Benny anyway. The Ct chapter of BIA has a similar event August 19th in East Hampton Ct., one of the raffle prizes is a 79 Bonneville!
