Looking for a little help as usual...
Does anyone have Easy Brackets installed on an 05 America w/ luggage rack & sissy bar. Mine don't seem to seat properly in the bolt hole recesses on my luggage rack bracket. Was wondering if others have had the same problem.
According to the labels, I have the right parts (TRI-R1BR), they just appear to need some spacers between the posts and the bolt holes.
I have a note into easybrackets.com, but thought I'd ask here to.
Thanks.

I have them on my Speedy. I also have a Ventura Pack system which I screw on from time to time. I had some plates welded onto the L brackets on the Ventura system to take the lugs for the saddlebags. Works very well for me. Sometimes I just run with the bags. I have the option of bags, pack system or both.

I have easy brackets on my 05 TBA with a sissybar and luggage rack and had no fitment issues at all. Let us know what EZ brackets says.

have it with mone and no issues, make sure you got the set that is made for the luggage rack. there are another set that are for the bike without that stuff. may also require small shims to get it perfect

Thanks all. I spoke w/ Dave at Easy Brackets and it appears that I just got some mislabeled parts. Should resolve it in the next few days.
Thanks for the feedback.

Well, no joy from Easy Brackets. Exchanged a close-up picture of said brackets and it has been confirmed that I have the correct parts.
So, not being one to let these things go, that leaves me wondering if I have the correct outside finishing bracket for my luggage rack. If anybody has a closeup shot of their luggage rack assembly, could you post it or direct me to it?
Thanks again.

by total accident...but the rack shouldnt add any thickness to the setup as it bolts into the sissy bar from the back side...Ians sissy bar shot should suffice...

I would have to go take one but if that will help you out I'll be happy to do so.Tell me exactly what you want to see and I'll try and get it from that angle.

Well, I guess what I'm looking for is a fairly close shot of the sissy bar/luggage rack bracket and the bolts that the Easy Brackets posts will replace. It seems the problem is that the recess in the rear bracket hole where bolt sits is too deep for the rear Easy Bracket post. The shoulders of the Easy Bracket posts tighten against & mar the chrome on the bracket and don't set square with the front one. And while I don't really care why mine would be different than everyone else's, I'm looking for a comparative shot to go back to the dealer with so I can get it made right. In the mean time, I'm using some nylon spacers in the bolt recesses so I can use the darn things (which isn't a bad solution if I get tired of my pursuit of justice ).

This may be a stupid question but you have the right posts in the right places?

As in, the long post is to the rear.

there are two sets of easy bracket kits. one is for the standard bike. the other is for the bike with a sissy bar. triumph ordered the brackets wrong the first time. they had to reorder and i swapped the kit. went on perfect with the proper hardware. joe

<Sigh> I can see that they are different sizes. Let me see if I can get the picture posted for discussion purposes. OK. The one on the left is longer, ergo the rear post. But if you notice, the bottom of that post, before the first shoulder of the flange, is only 5mm long. The front post's is 8mm. These portions of the posts insert into the recesses on the luggage rack bracket. On my brackets these recesses are both 8mm deep. The rear post is 3mm short, so it does not seat properly; the flange rests on the bracket instead of the post resting inside the recess. So, do I have the wrong Easy Bracket posts, the wrong luggage rack bracket, or the wrong place & time.

Upon review, that last could seem to come across a bit snippy.
In fact, I really appreciate the dialog on this since it's starting to drive me nuts.
Thanks for the input.

I just ran out to the shed to look. I have a set I haven't installed yet for a bigger set of bags to use on trips. The one on the right with the longer part on the bottom is the same as what I have out in the shed. The one with the longer flange is the shorter post and goes in the forward sissybar mount hole the one on the left is the rear mount. Both match up to the ones I have and should be correct.
