I saved quite a bit of money on mine. Went to a cycle swapmeet in Carlisle PA and picked up a hard leather barrel bag for about 20 bucks. We took an old piece of scrap aluminum (any metal would work though) that was a piece of angle (actually I believe it might have been a piece of top rail from a tractor trailer) and simply cut it to the right width, drilled the holes and mounted it in the empty holes in the bottom triple tree.
You could probably get a piece of scrap metal from just about anywhere to do this. My bag now sits about an inche in front of my forks mounted on the bracket. Cheap and easy to do.
