would I be right in saying that 790 cams from a model before 07 would give better performance than standard 07 S/M cams or are there after market better cams available?

I am the first owner (that I know of) of an 865cc Speedy on here (Dec '04) and that question has yet to be answered, despite the subject coming up occasionally (info on Std Bonnies, Thruxtons or 360 degrees motors generally are irrelevant).
It's not important to me but I am curious to see the results if someone ever does it.

Good news for the knowledge pool! I was just contacted by someone getting rid of their 790 intake cam, it'll be a couple of weeks before I get it but I'll do a before and after Dyno so we'll all know if it's something worth doing or not.

Not all 790 cams are the same!

Talk on the other forums indicate that the 2005 and onwards 790cc 360 degree Bonney engine received 865cc T-100/Thruxton cams.

I wonder if this is the case with the 2005 and onwards 790cc Americas' receiving 865cc SM cams??

Cheers.............agro
