They buy them at auction and take them to Laredo where they somehow get over the border after a few people get greased. Often they come back to us as salvage cars.
Ya see, if you take a salvage car down, take the nasty sheet metal and interior out. Put the sheet metal and interior from a stolen car you took to Mexico on it then you can bring it back to the auction and get more money for it.
Yeah, its the result of NAFTA along with GM making 40 plants in Mexico while Toyota becomes the #1 auto manufacturer in America with American workers. Cool huh.
Generally the towing vehicle has not one bit of insurance on it either.
