Lost bolt - replacement help please!

Here is my problem. Riding home after a hard day's work, I go to use the rear brakes and the entire floorboard is moving. Good news - only about a mile from home. After a close look I see that the smaller bolt (or pin) toward the front on the florboard mounting bracket (on the brake side) is missing. Anyone know where to get a replacement or the size/type of bolt required? One would think this is not rocket science but I have not found anything to fit in my 'junk' containers.
Thanks in advance for the assist!

Stainless from Ace Hardware here. They have a pretty good selection of metric stainless. Fasenol Has almost anything.. I had to luck at all at the Homeless Depot or Lowes here.

Probably the reason you haven't found anything is because its metric. I have found some home depots and lowes with metric, but their hardware departments tend to get all jumbled, all those annoying little plastic bags... An Ace or similar home town hardware store where there's a dude behind a counter is best. Sears hardware has some too. Problem is the length... Might be hard to tell by eye, maybe get a couple different lengths? Hopefully some else with boards can give you a more precise answer on size.

Ace Hardware. Otherwise you might need to look into a fastner company...
Speaking of, the screw that holds the lens of my right driving light went missing, so I need to go find a screw myself. Anyone know where I look to find out what size that bugger is?

If you have a missing bolt from the left side of the bike. Look on the right side of the in the same place. Locate it. Remove it and go to the hardware shop. Come on mate thats NOT rocket science.

Only problem with that is the foot peg brackets are different, one has like a pin locating it along with the main bolt, and the other has a second little screw (I think), but otherwise yeah, just look on the other side.
Oh another place that won't work is the axels, but that's a special case.

I was replying to matfromomaha. He asked about the driving light screw.
If you can't figure out the foot mount screw ask someone to check for you or go to a dealer and ask for one...look at it...ask how much...then say thanx anyway and go buy one at a hardware store.Take your tape and pitch gauge with you to measure length and thread pitch. I would guess the pitch is 1.25 and maybe an 8mm bolt but this is going from memory and not ever having measured it.

Thanks, Dog... I know I can always take the matching one and stand there and compare screws until I find one. But, it's easier to be able to go in and grab an x mm screw....

Bolts in those peg brackets are considerably different too. Left side is a garden variety M10-1.25x35 allen. Right is stainless, shorter, & has a "low profile" head. That gave me some grief this week. First I thot I'd lost the thing. Finally figured out I'd just forgot what it looked like.
Said Molly to James, that's a fine motorbike.

I thought I would finish this one off.... After having a look at the manual, the missing part was the pin forward of the M10 bolt (all on the brake side). According to local dealer (who incidentally went waaay out of the way to help) the size is M5x14. Turns out for me the hole had been damaged by movement of the foot board after the pin was loose. In the end I had to drill out the hole and retap to an M6.
