I got this out of Road and Track. The data resides with Carnegie Mellon University and is raw-no interpretation( unlike the Hurt report) but it is interesting. As the author says, it is bound to p*** off just about every group.
If you didn't have a reason to ride safe before, just realizing that you are 35 times more likely to have a fatal accident on a motorcycle than in a passenger car should get any one's attention. I'm not going to stop riding because I have this information-just being even more paranoid than I am already. Like the MSF guys say, it doesn't matter whose fault the crash was, the motorcycle rider is going to get the worse end of the deal.
