Here's my night riding poem, I wrote it after a June night's ride, where the thought popped into my head "I love the smell of night..."

I love the smell of night &
What is hidden.

Within the darkness
Mystery
And all that waits for morning

Stars
Hold their promises &
Consider our dreams-
Weigh us on their cold
& ancient measure

I want the touch of truth &
The pierce of absolute

Sharp point of my integrity
One whole moment
Of Divine-
All that’s known
Distilled to pure
& silent insight in my skin.

I am the smell of night &
What is hidden.
