First you will have to thread a 5/16"??? bolt into the acorn nut. Then cut off the head leaving about 3/8" thereby creating a stud in the end of the nut.This will screw into the connector. You will also have to drill a hole through the connector for the shackle pin.Make sure you drill straight through.On the mounting side,use another 5/16" bolt through the fender with a washer on both sides.Don't overtighten as it may crack the fender.The shackle is a close fit so position it how you like it and then snug it down with pliers.Mines been on for over a year and hasn't budged.Hope this helps.Ride safe,Charlie.
