I bought an 07 Speedmaster last month. The sales guy at the dealership accidnetly gave me an owner's manual for a Tiger, I took it back a week later to get one for my bike. He told me that the manual wasn't for my specific bike, but was a SM manual. Got to looking at the little warranty book later; it has a page that says something like "make sure the warranty registration sticker with your bike's VIN is on the front cover." Of course, the sticker on mine is for another bike.

So I asked the dealer about it today. He said he didn't have the one for my bike's VIN, but not to worry because "all that is tracked by computer." I was a little worried because I'm probably moving before the 2 years are up, and I don't want to have a problem and a different dealer have a reason to call me out on something like that.

Should I be concerned? Any dealers or other knowledgeable folk have any insight?
