Or am I now just part of the furniture?

I don't get on here much and lately, I really don't want to either. Do some of you people camp out here on a permanent basis? Do you not have ANY kind of life that you spend hours and hours posting and re-posting?

The quality of this site has taken a drastic downward spiral in recent months. When I first joined, it was all about the bikes and this stupid Lounge was for the drivel. Now I find I cannot even read through the technical forums because of the blathering going on there too!!! WTF?

I sincerely hope the moderators do something about this.

Oh and btw, this will be my only post in this thread. I've said my piece, I don't need to keep posting over and over and over. So go ahead and beat this to death too. You know you will.

I like a banther or blather, whatever you want to call it.

I'm sick of this $hit, people moaning about the lounge and the posts on it.

If you want to complain....then go elswhere and do it.

Oh....and yes I do have a life

Nah Gina. I think John here was a' meanin' those folks whose first language "ain't" English!

However, come to think of it...THAT would probably include most of us americans over here TOO...native speakers or NOT, HUH???!!!

So JOHN! Can you be a little more specific here???!!! Gina here brings up a VERY good point...and so NOW I'm ALSO a bit CONFUSED about what YOUR initial point was all about when you made that comment!!!

(the above, of course, was for all you Dudes and Dudettes over there on that little island o' yours...I knew "y'all" would appreciate this)

Hey, now theres an idea. Lets keep the lounge for balthering, AND (other things)

And introduce a new area, call it the Saloon, and that will be for Whineing, Whinging, General moaning and any other kind of tear inducing, belly aching bs you can think of.

It would be like a First Class, Second Class system. Hey, how very British.

Nah Mark! I agree with Friar John here. We don't need another forum for the sole purpose of blathering!!!(this here "saloon" seems an okay place for that already!)

And BESIDES, we DON'T need any o' that there "British Class System" stuff OVER HERE on THIS side of The Pond EITHER!!!

Evidently ol' boy, you haven't noticed since you've moved here that we americans are just one big happy family of equals, ALL of us living in the Land of Milk and Honey where the streets are paved with gold!

(ahh, come on...you guys HAD TO KNOW I'd slip in some "socially-conscience" crap like THAT into this stupid thread, DIDN'T YA???!!!...Don't cha know me BY NOW???!!!)

Hey guys! Trev here has the right idea!!! I don't know about YOU guys, but I'M gettin' pretty darn tired of this here "blather" word around here MYSELF!!!

I mean, remember when that "awesome" word was all the rage??? MAN! Talk about your over-saturation!!!

And SO, I hearby move that we NOW use this "Yammer" word that Trevor here has so wise(a$$)ly thought to enter into this "discussion" IN PLACE of this "blat..." word!(ya SEE? I can't even bring myself to say that darn word anymore)

Now, if only we could get a hold of Jesse and Al, maybe we could talk them into starting a campaign about banning that darn "B-word" ALSO...but I know it's their "busy season" right now!*

*(thank you Bill Maher)

There is already a word for that you know.

logorrhea.

Defined as: excessive and often incoherent talkativeness or wordiness.

Or bla...blat......blath..................yammering

THANK YOU, Bill!

I see you've resisted the temptation of using that darn "B-word" and have moved on. You have NO IDEA how much I appreciate that, Sir.

HOWEVER, regarding this "logorrhea" thing.....I've always preferred the word "loquacious" instead.

That word of yours has always seemed to me to be some kind of condition that massive doses of penicillin would be called upon to cure after a less than discreet encounter with the "wrong type of lady".

Of course. Loquacious sounds less vulgar, like referring to a "social disease" in the following quote, instead of "the clap". Means the same thing but sounds more acceptable . Perception is reality.

Now then (just taking an opportunity to educate the masses ) that "rhea" suffix in those Latin based words means the same thing in all of them. That is. a runny condition.

Anyway, about blathering or don't you mean bletherin'?! :

'To talk foolishly and long-windedly, long-winded nonsense, a chat or a gossip'

What's the problem?! ...not a problem for me, this site's great. You can search most anything about your bike, meet great folks and also blather/ blether till the cows come home at the same time... IMO the site works just fine as it stands, as long as folks try and use a bit of common sense and respect for others and consequently a lot less stress for the moderators...Again I feel it's another case of the minority spoiling it for the majority...
