Yes the support is part of the bracket and comes off when you remove the bags. Very simple a single key onlocks the bracket and then it just lifts off. I have a 3rd set I haven't inbstalled yet I could take some pix if you want and E mail them to you. But you would have to PM me your E mail address. I could also take a shot of my bike with the bag of and one with it on.
