Ya need to move the passenger footpeg to the front (relocate) .....in my opinion.
The straps do not lock on the K-drive.....but its a snap to remove the entire bag or bags and just carry it with you if you have something you would worry about someone stealing. Very handy for motels....just unlock/remove and carry both bags into the room.
The brackets are not as unobtrusive as easy brackets but they are not as ugly as the standard brackets that come with the cheapie throw over Triumph bags.
