Glad to hear that you're alright and your gear did its job. Can't imagine what the outcome would have been like if you weren't wearing a helmet.
I was driving my wifes cage the other day and had a deer run in front of me, I had just enough time to slam the brakes to avoid it. Another second later, or if I was going a little faster, I think my wife would be in a rental right now. I'm sure if I would have been on the bike when it happened I would have been cleaning out my pants when I got home.
