Good on you Pard! These are nice machines to work on. I removed my AI, removed the back two baffles out of my mufflers, adjusted the valves about a month ago. I also synced my carbs recently. I attached my carbtune to a board and added ball valves between the carbtune and the hose going to the carbs. This allows me to shut off the vacuum from the carbs and blip the throttle without sucking mercury into the intakes. I have not found a good flex screwdriver yet to make adjustments easier.
