Saw a guy at Fells Point here in Baltimore getting on his silver Rocket 3. Asked him what he thought of it. He said he loved it, especially since he'd bored it to nearly 3000CC AND turbo charged it. I know with just the turbo that thing puts out around 215 horse power. What a beast.

And to think, in the current issue of Motorcycle Cruiser, in their "Battle of the Baggers," they said the Rocket III was unbalanced because it had too much power.

STOCK.

Not including the big bore of that guys bike, that works out to be about 1.5 hp per cubic inch. Wonder how much more hp that guy is getting with a 3 liter motor.

I concur those turboed bonnies are an abomination. An unnatural act of pure malfeasance as it were.

Ugliness defined. The Gods of Triumph cannot be pleased with those nasty looking former Bonnevilles.

Yeah, but 105 horsepower? With our long wheelbase?
That's a variable-vane turbo, they spin up really fast.
We can work on the styling. If only it didn't cost more than I paid for my bike in the first place.

I rode with a guy the other day who also put a turbo on his R3. Claimed it added 100 hp. So that's 240 horses pulling his cart.

The RIII turbo is almost invisible too. A real sleeper. As fast as the stock bike is though, how many people are going to give you an opportunity to smoke them? A Busa killer

Exactly, all the naysayers are missing the beauty of this little eyesore.

When I win the lotto, I think I'll be the only one with a turbo speedy!

a turbo is the most beautiful ugly thing in the world. Kinda like a magneto, just cool looking in its functionality.
