As for alternatives, I like the large kuryaken silver bullets personally, and will be buying same when I can justify the hideous expense. Am thinking of going LED instead of halogen for them, but that means getting a load equaliser too.
You probably don't want to go too much smaller below driving lights as they'd look silly, but maybe get the large bullets for the front and the small ones for the rear?
