Hi, time for me to finally check in and contribute something here. I bought a 2006 America last year, and have a little over 7000 Km on it now. Found this forum shortly afterwards – it’s been an incredible source of info, thanks all.
I had a problem with buffeting from the Roadster – don’t know why Triumph doesn’t deal with that!
I ordered the larger Clearview screen but still had a lot of “tank air†so ordered the Memphis lowers. It was much better, but I still wanted to improve on it so I used an idea from someone else here. I put the two lowers end to end and built a template out of cardboard.
I had a glass company cut them out of lexan, and I finished them with a sandpaper flapper wheel. The outer and inner cut-outs are to clear the light & dresser bars. It all works quite well.
It’s funny, when I read the “to screen or not to screen†threads I think about all the plastic that I sit behind!
