My dealer is 1 hr away. While its under warrantee I get them to do the services. I arrange for the bike to be done 1st thing in the morning and kick around the showroom and drink free coffee and read the magazines till its done. I find my dealer very good and the Techs out the back better. I always ensure they endorse the service handbook as well. While these bikes are usually pretty sound you can bet your B*!!$ if there is a problem the 1st thing they will look at is the service history. I have clicked 17000ks in 14 months and it runs like a dream.
