Peter,
I wrote up my expericence with the dealer at the 500 mile ck on an earlier thread and will not bring it up again.
Needless to say I was lied to and ripped off basically the $300.00 I weasled them down on they got back $250.00.
Everything you need to know about your new bike you will and can find here. You will know it is right because no one is trying to make a buck off you.
I switched to syn. at 1,000 miles they told me they changed it over to syn. but I never believed them I doubt they even changed the original oil. Like a dummy I was riding around with 15 lbs. of air pressure in the front tire for a 1,000 miles.
Go over the bike stem to stern and check everything bolts nuts chain tires battery connections brake fluids, check everything then you will know it is done.
The one thing you will hear on this site it's your butt on that bike and your respondibility to make sure it is safe and road worthy.
By the way congrads on the new bike and welcome to the site.
