Word has it the sun (remember the sun?) will make a rare
appearance Saturday through Monday, with temps in the 60s &
70s.

This is going on in Danbury

http://www.marcusdairy.net/Cycle%20Sunday%20main.htm
Never been there. Could be good.
"April 22, 2007 – Gathering at Marcus Dairy
Marcus Dairy will host a gathering - 8AM-4PM, rain or
shine. On tap are vendors, a bike show, food, and music; the admission is $9.00.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit local charities. Since 1991,
Marcus Dairy has donated over $500,000 to local
organizations in need."

I do believe they may need a little bitta Triumph representation there.

I'll be bike borne Saturday as well, if anyone gets around these parts and wants to ride around the lakes.

You're right they will need a Triumph or two, saw that posted on an HD site, wish I could make it but I have already committed to family type stuff.

I'd love to, but I think I really need a weekend where I don't go anywhere...

I thought they put an end to Marcus Dairy. it used to be a good time but haven't been there in 6 or 7 years.

If you've never been there before, give it a try. don't forget your $9 to get in. I will probably take a ride over in the late morning.

Martin,

That should be a nice easy run for Lynn on her new bike, I want to go for a ride so bad even the turd farm trip sounds good right now.

Count us in.

I bought a NAPA battery that shipped dry with the acid kit. If it stops raining for an hour, I may even install then charge it overnight and see what gives.

I discovered through some google searches what may be wrong with my current battery - apparently AGM batteries go to h#ll fairly quickly if they get discharged beyond 50%.

I'll try to get up there if the weather guessers are right. I 'll probably have my girlfriend test out the new sissy bar. My TBA will be the mullberry one that is still getting broken in.. I figure its at least 80 miles from Norwalk to Danbury the way I go on the back roads...

Martin,
I have to be at work in Brookfield by noon. Was thinking of riding the bike to work. If you want will meet up with you, and ride down to the dairy.

I'm working with a highly regarded Danbury consultant on a proposed meeting place and time so's we can roll in together, and represent the Triumph Marque in proper style. Oh yeah Babe.

I'll have more info later this week.

Mark, PM sent.

Glad to report the starting issues are gone. It was the battery. Lesson learned - don't let AGM type batteries discharge too far - they may not come back. The battery that went dead was installed 11/06. I'm so delighted I could...
I'd be out riding now if it wasn't 40 & raining.

As we're going to hit the road for the Smoky Mountains in 8 days, I was a might worried the problem may lay in the recently completed handlebar wires campaign. Phew!

FWIW - the contacts on the starter relay were pretty cheesy at 10,000 miles.

you're kidding about the purple house right? Thats about a mile from my appartment. (I actually live in Darien, but don't tell anybody).
Unfortunately the first weekend in May I have to take the boat to Greenwich for our Gala fundraiser Saturday night. I might have to get a tux for the shindig. If I can get some free time I'ld love to go for a 'quick' ride, but I wouldn't count on it.

Nope not kidding. All I know is I take exit 13 (I think) and bang a right near the Home Depot. Couple lefts, last of which is at the purple house, and they are just up that street. It's Kim's best friend. I doubt I'll have the bike with me anyway...

Yup, I think that is the only purple house in Fairfield County. I guess it is world famous. (at least tristate famous).
Im not sure what time I'll head up there. I need to talk with my girlfriend see what time we're going to wake up. You know I need my beauty sleep.
Unfortunately I have to work sunday afternoon so I need to kick out of there by 1....
I'll let you know how my schedule is shaping up. pm me with your phone #

Hot fun in the Summertime

August 18th - Saturday night - My House - NW CT

A combined event -- My 50th birthday, and my company's 75th anniversary. (Do I smell a write off? sniff sniff?)

Live music with a New Orleans funk band, camping, general mayhem. If enough moto-cycles show, we'll do Saturday & Sunday rides around the hills and dales. All forum members welcome.

For all going to Marcus Dairy, make sure to stop by a certain vendor booth. A friend of mine...actually neighbor, as she lives only one block away from me in Brooklyn has a badge/patch business which is worth checking out if you're a brit bike fan

Barry's Bike Badges

She's got an insane selection and is a great gal on top of it. Plus she can kickstart her '68 trump more effectively than most anyone else I've seen do it. Tell her that you guys are friends of her Triumph riding neighbor, Mark...I'll let her know and see if she can hook you guys up.

Fixed the link, Mark.

It was a sudden eruption of Spring here - from a month of 20 to 50 degrees and 8" of rain in one week with flooding, to sunny and 65 F in the north shade last night when I left work at 17:30. After a little tinkering and final adjustments, I managed to get in 40 miles of riding around the back woods of Norfolk and up into Southfield, MA, over through Canaan Valley, then burned some burgs on the grill just after sunset. First ride since the December entombment. 6 more long days to a motorcycle vacation in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
