Yup, I've not seen a real need to butcher the air box. Just pull out the snorkel (that rubber "shield" on top of the airbox) when you get new pipes and matching jets. Oh, and yes, lose the AI. It makes the bike run hot and the exhaust ugly. I heard Staintune exhaust is good: stainless steel and comes from your island
