I have an '03 America just short of 5K miles. The only problem was that the wee ruber loop thing on the front fender that keeps the speedometer cable from flopping about broke. I don't really count that as a problem anyway because it gave me an excuse to buy the nice chrome one from NewSpeedmaster.com.
If you invest maybe $400 in aftermarket pipes, anyone on an 883 will have to make a much bigger investment in performance parts to keep up with you.
