Just noticed his post now says "anonymous". Hope he re-registers under new name. I'll be watching the newbies' syntax and inflection.

Did anyone see this coming? I wasn't aware of any storm clouds brewing?

I started feeling it right after the Nor'East Rally.

I agree. Even though I will miss Adey's wit and sense of humor, you need to separate this site and reality. I realize the moderator position can be a pain, but maybe just resign from that for a while and come on the site whenever you feel like and enjoy it. Just from the threads this last week, Phil, you have put up with a ton of crap. But hey, you seem to put it in perspective. It's a web site, we will survive. Good luck Adey, hope you come back someday.

Well Dang!
I only pop in once in a while and now this!
sorry to see Adey go,
but I really enjoyed meeting him last year.
Maybe he'll still show up once in a while... I love his sense of humor.

Adey, although you and I have had a couple differences in the past (and I hope that they are exactly that, "in the past"), I DO hope that you'll reconsider and NOT make the same mistake I almost made! Yeah, people get stupid around here from time to time (ME included!!), and say and do stuff that is annoying, immature, and just not well thought out, but Dude, that happens at work, in everyday life, with everyone. To chuck a great bunch of people away who all enjoy your friendship, and hope to meet ya one day, is exactly that, a MISTAKE!! Of course, it's your life, your choice, but like a wise old man (OK, UGLY as sin, unlike me and my beautiful mug!!!), Phil, once told me, take some time off, walk away for a while, but don't stay away. Come back after a breather, we'll all still be here, for better or worse!!

Great, just what I needed at this point in my life, something else to be confused about. Adey it was wonderful to meet you in NY, abeit brief. Actually it's been wonderful to meet all of you that I have. I can understand most clearly where you are coming from Adey, I too had to step away for awhile, not because of anything on this board but because of those moments in life that don't seem fair and certainly not fun. My confusion lays it what you have said and what others have mentioned. I feel like, wait, no I know I must be missing something. Is there a secret portion of this site that only shows up to a few, no I don't mean the extravagant moderators lounge, I am referring to the portion of the boards us common folk frequent.
I keep running across comments made referring to the rowdys, the offensive, the general A-holes that post here yet I can never seem to find their words. Could it be that that part of me that can be offended or insulted has gone missing. Is it that living in the big city surrounded by mannerless morons has me so jaded that I can't see the forest for the trees?
Is it, as discussed in another thread, that we are all becoming so sensitive or insensitive as the case may be that discussion and interaction between us is changing, well at least changing as I have known it. Adey, I don't mean to make light of or belittle your decision in anyway, I completely respect it even though I don't understand it. I also don't live in fear that I may have offended you if that is how you have taken it. I don't have that fear because you are an intelligent man if you were offended I would expect from you the opportunity to discuss it like reasonable and intelligent people do, or at least should do so that we can come to an understanding. We're both good guys or I am one of the said mutant offenders that post here or whatever...... the thing is that there is an understanding and then we move on. Right? Isn't that the way it works or do I live in a world of bunnies and rainbows?
Adey you will be missed but bro, if you find the time and are so inclined send me an email. I seek guidance, knowledge, understanding, keys to the secret section, anything.... this confusion thing is starting to get to me. It sucks big donkey appendages!

(okay, now is where I take a cue from brother Dwight and type in parentheses.... wondering if the usage of big donkey appendages may have offended anyone, give me a sec..... okay, all those offended may now kindly bite my @ss. Hmmm, this parentheses thing is rather freeing, it's like you get to say it but you don't verbalize it.... wait a minute, isn't that what the F typing is???? Good lord when will the confusion end? Wait was I suppose to capitalize lord? okay, those offended by that can now bite me too. I need a drink, many in fact.... )

Adey you have my respect and best wishes, I hope to ride again with you some day, wherever and whenever that may be.

Steve
